Artist Statement:
A lot of my artwork focuses on people, most of them depict myself, but some capture the likeness of others. Through these figure paintings, I've been exploring topics in regards to my faith. Pieces that include myself depict my own personal journey, anywhere from joyful moments to hardships. While those that depict other individuals, are meant to capture a theme or message within my faith that I want to convey to my audience. Throughout my pieces, I want to convey relatable moments in regards to my faith, that can resonate with anyone, whether they have the same belief or not. In doing so, I want to convey vulnerable moments in my journey that isn't talked about a lot or depicted as much creatively.
