Artist Statement:

My paintings are driven by a deep interest in religions and mythologies, particularly in how they shape morality and our search for meaning in faith. I find important to look for what people across cultures hold sacred, reflecting a universal desire for connection beyond the material world. I use realism to ground my work in the physical with human figures, symbolic objects, and architectural spaces anchoring the viewer in familiarity. At the same time, I layer in surreal elements such as fragmented surfaces, distorted light, or dreamlike settings to suggest the unseen forces of the spiritual. By merging these approaches, I create spaces where the visible and invisible coexist, inviting the viewer to confront questions of transcendence. My goal is not to resolve these mysteries, but to open a dialogue where the viewer can confront their own beliefs and doubts reflected in the work.
