Artist Bio:
Noah Keller is a visual artist specializing in digital art and 2D animation. With a background in both traditional and digital mediums, Keller creates vibrant, immersive depictions of creatures and environments. Through her work, she uses odd-looking characters to tell stories about her mental health. Keller holds an Associate in Arts degree from New World School of the Arts, completed in 2023, where she developed essential skills in critique and communication. Looking ahead, she plans to expand her work into larger-scale projects, including book covers, concept art, and a personal mini-series. Whenever possible, Keller takes advantage of learning opportunities to build her portfolio and expand her horizons.
Artist Statement:
With my earlier digital art pieces, I explore a new way to express my interest in nature, environment, and storytelling. I continued drawing, discovering new techniques, and developing my style with various brushes that elevated my work. Since acrylic painting is my favorite traditional medium, I strive to make my digital work look like it. The work I do provides me with an outlet for my own mental cages. I envision myself in the landscape I create, feeling safe and comfortable during stressful times. With my two traditional works, I wanted to preserve my cats' personalities and demeanor. I enunciated their features and conveyed their contrasting characters. In my photography work, I learned how to develop film in a course, creating art in a completely unfamiliar world. My photos document various moments around the area where I used to live, saving what little nature was left within a concrete jungle, in Miami. I gravitated towards taking pictures of the Pine Rocklands, a South Florida-exclusive environment. Taking these photos helped me appreciate nature in a new light. I've always been proud of my hometown's native flora and fauna.
